How we have tried to make this website usable for everyone.

Many users of this site are older or have a disability. The site has been designed with readability as the priority.
What we have done
- Body text is set at 18 pixels with generous line spacing, and the whole page scales if you increase text size in your browser
- Colours have been chosen to meet WCAG 2.1 AA contrast levels
- Every page works with a keyboard alone, and the focus outline is clearly visible
- Images have text descriptions
- Headings are properly structured so screen readers can navigate the page
- Pages work without JavaScript, apart from the filters on the vacancies page
- Animation is kept to a minimum and respects your reduced motion setting
- The site works on a phone without pinching and zooming
Known limitations
We have tested this ourselves rather than commissioning a formal audit, so this is not a full accessibility statement of the kind public sector bodies must publish. Please report any difficulties to us.
Other formats
We can provide our care documents, terms and policies in large print, or go through them with you in person or over the phone. If you need an interpreter, tell us which language and we will arrange it.
